Christmas 2011

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We spent time with family, enjoyed beautiful weather for traveling, and the kids seemed to get many of the gifts on their Christmas lists. The Elliott's are looking forward to a joyous 2012.

Madeline got the entire set of Harry Potter books.

Kyler is proud to show off his new Husker football uniform. He wore it the entire day!

KU Basketball Camp

Madeline attended a basketball camp hosted by the KU men's basketball team over the break. Unfortunately her favorite player, Conner Teahan, was unable to attend due to sickness, but she enjoyed learning some skills from the other players. At the end of the camp there was an autograph session with all the players and coaches. Madeline liked all the players but really took a liking to assistant coaches Townsend and Dooley. Kyler was able to slip in and get pictures with his favorite players as well.

Kyler has just a few more years to catch up with Jeff Withey!

Most of her instruction came from assistant coach Townsend. She really enjoyed him.

Packers Game

For his birthday we got Travis two tickets to the Green Bay Packers game at Kansas City. Kyler and him enjoyed a beautiful day in December for the game. Unfortunately the Packers' perfect season came to an end at the hands of the Chiefs, but the boys really enjoyed seeing their favorite team in action.

Halloween 2011

The kids had a great Halloween. Madeline dressed as Hermoine from her favorite book series, Harry Potter. Kyler chose to be one of his favorite super heroes, Thor. The weather was absolutely beautiful for trick-or-treating. Both kids also picked out a carving for their pumpkins. Travis was thankful neither design was too much of a challenge this year.

Taekwondo

Kyler started Taekwondo this fall. He absolutely loves it! He has already had one belt test and advanced to an orange belt.

Hockey

Travis took the kids to a preseason hockey game in Kansas City. They saw our favorite team, the Pittsburgh Penguins, play the Los Angeles Kings. Kyler wore his Penguins goalie mask most of the night. He was a hit with many fans around them and even the Kings' mascot noticed him. They saw a great game and the Penguins won in a shoot out!

Big Time Rush

One of Madeline's favorite bands and TV show, Big Time Rush, was at the Kansas State Fair this year. It was an exciting concert and Madeline enjoyed it very much. She discovered that Kendall, her favorite, was originally from Kansas!
