Basketball 2013

Madeline joined a tournament basketball team this year.  They played in several weekend tournaments.  She showed much improvement throughout the season.    

Wrestling 2013

Kyler participated in wrestling again this year.  He showed much progress through the season.  He placed fourth in his first tournament.  He finished first in his second tournament.  He was very excited to take home the paper bracket!  In the final tournament he pinned each opponent in the first period to bring home another first.    

Kyler's 6th Birthday

Kyler celebrated his sixth birthday with a Legos Star Wars theme.  He was very excited to get a new Avengers bicycle.  He celebrated with a small party of close friends.

Monster Jam 4

Travis and Kyler attended Monster Jam again this year.  For Kyler, the car of the year was Captain America.  The highlight of the day was Kyler and his friend Ian being on the big screen at the Sprint Center.  

Christmas 2012

This Christmas was a very special one.  Madeline performed in her first band concert and Kyler in his first school concert.  Christmas was also a time to reflect on our many blessings from the past year and look forward to a new year.    

Halloween 2012

Kyler went as Jango Fett from Star Wars this year.  The day started out with a parade downtown and then back to school for a class party.  We enjoyed the beautiful evening trick or treating with some close friends.  You will notice that Madeline is missing in the pictures.  She decided that this year she wanted to stay home and pass out candy and watch scary movies with dad.  

First Day of School

This was a very special first day of school. Kyler began Kindergarten and Madeline started middle school. Kyler was so excited to start school. He walked in with so much confidence and not a worry in the world when mom and dad left. He really likes his teacher and spoke endlessly of all the great things he did. Madeline was excited but nervous about starting middle school. She was probably more worried about being in the same building as mom! She was able to manage her locker and get to all her classes with her materials and on time. She chose to take band and will be playing the saxophone. That means many hours of practice at home. We anticipate many adventures this year with both of them.
